On the Use of "Christian" As An Adjective

I had never really read the blog Shakespeare's Sister before, but I clicked on a link to this written by the blog owner in response to a comment by a reader that he objected to describing Ann Coulter as a Christian.

Okay, that's my lazy post for the week just to show that I am still alive and breathing.

Well, she does describe herself as a Christian, and so do the majority of evangelical Christians who hold similar views that are in agreement with her. It seems that many of the Christians who commented basically implied that she was not a "true" Christian and really didn't want to be associated with her.

As I commented on another blog, Ann Coulter is nothing but an attention whore and the media plays into her shenanigans over and over again.

As someone wrote in a recent post I read online at a site called Ablogistan, "Ann Coulter is the Paris Hilton of Conservative Politics." He ended his article with this advice: "don't feed the ego, especially of individuals who don't deserve it. It's the only way Ann Coulter and Paris Hilton will go away."

I can think of plenty of adjectives to describe Ann Coulter, but none of them would fit into the same category as 'Christian'. :)
