God Punishes California For Banning Gay Marriage
Sorry, I just couldn't resist. Because you just know that if Proposition 8 had been defeated, the Holy Rollers would be saying that God was punishing California for permitting gay marriage.
In all seriousness, though, I had an email from an old high school friend of mine that lives out there, who almost lost his house. For some reason, the fire traveled all around his home, even burning up the palm trees in the back yard, causing him to evacuate the home a number of times, but it eventually bypassed the structure. He's not very religious, though he was brought up Catholic, as was his wife, so maybe god spared him?
I have visited Debunking Christianity numerous times and used to comment there quite frequently. It's been a while, so I guess I am overdue for a visit.

Or maybe he was just lucky.
