Me and Ayaan Hirsi Ali

It's not every day that one gets to be in the same picture with a woman whose life is threatened by angry Muslim extremists. Owing to the security around Ms. Ali and the inability to get someone to take a picture of us standing next to each other, this was the best I could do. My efforts to get filmed with Ms. Ali made me think of this:

I have yet to read her books, but from what I do know of her, I totally admire her courage and honesty. It must be awful to be a target like that.

So who's next on your list of people to meet? :)

To echo andrea's comment, I also admire her courage and honesty...and the way she doesn't let threats deter her.

I hope she has bodyguards for protection...I imagine she would.

Yes, she does have bodyguards, and they were quite adamant that she not remain there much longer.

Interestingly, the whole time in the lobby there was a Muslim woman (I could tell by her head scarf and attire) sitting on a couch using a lap top computer. I was wondering what she thought about Ms. Ali and if she was surprised to see Ms. Ali there and what her reaction was.
