My favorite television series is Battlestar Galactica on the Sci-Fi Channel. Here is a link to a clip from one of my favorite episodes. The first minute and a half is talky, with Commander Adama asking a captured human looking Cylon model why the Cylons hate the human race. Stick with it, because it is followed by one of the most awesome space battles ever. If you have never seen the new Battlestar Galactica, check this out and it might interest you in watching the show. If you are familiar with it, here's a chance to revisit a cool scene.
Incidentally, I don't know if you need a Youtube account, but I haven't figured out yet how to actually have the video appear on my blog instead of providing a link to the video.
Please note that the link above no longer works. Here is a new link containing a truncated version of the battle scene from the episode Resurrection Ship Part 2.

Tommy - to post a video, copy and paste the embedded code into your blog post.
On YouTube this is located to the right of the video and you will see a line of code for link on top and then the embedded object code on the bottom..., you want the bottom one. (no, you don't need an account for this)
Is humanity worth saving? I don't know. But unless humans find another planet in another solar system to live on they are doomed anyway because the sun is halfway through it's live-cycle and about 5 billion years left..then it's all over anyway. The question is, can humanity save itself to last that long?
Thanks. I will keep that in mind for the next time.
BTW, are you a Galactica fan?
I watch it sometimes. My son and hubby are big fans. They like that and are obsessed with 24.
I am a huge fan. I've seen every episode.
I like Battlestar Galactica. My friend at work kept prodding me and telling me it was a great show, so I finally broke down and tried it. I loved it and have watched every episode.
Absolutely love Battlestar. Even w/all the religious claptrap.

Thank the Gods. So say we all. :)
But I actually catch myself saying "frack" instead of the 'other' word.
When I was watching part of the mini-series with my son in the room, when my son heard Commander Adama say "launch vipers" during the battle scene at the end, Andrew laughted and said "Launch the diapers!"
